This series completely changes the way I go about my art making, it has now become a personal exploring of mine and my family’s history.

Isolation, loneliness and escape were three words that kept coming back in my head and I felt a need to visualize these emotions and moods to myself, trying to create an understanding for what the words meant to me. From here one image led the next, ending the series with Freedom, maybe giving me the freedom to stay or go where ever I feel like, with a greater insight and a new viewpoint.

I’ve primarily used my home dyed fabrics in this series, I think it gives them a unique look and feel and very much my own.
